HENSOLDT and QinetiQ Germany expand their cooperation

The sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT and QinetiQ Germany have strengthened their collaboration in the field of uncrewed aerial vehicles and systems, with ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH serving as the prime contractor.

This strengthened alliance supports QinetiQ's Global Threat Representation strategy, reinforcing its reputation as a global service provider for military exercises, from operational analysis to implementing new capabilities.

The expanded partnership focuses on three key areas including:

  • Capability enhancement.
  • Military uncrewed aerial vehicles of category IIa.
  • Training and certified testing.

​​HENSOLDT has completed testing of the EUA NT at the Bundeswehr helicopter units​

HENSOLDT has successfully completed the modernisation project “Einsatzunterstützungsanlage Neue Technologien“ (EUA NT) after testing the system at four Bundeswehr helicopter bases. The aim of the project, which was commissioned by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) in May 2022, is to upgrade the EUA, which has been in use for more than a decade, for the next 15 years of operation.

HENSOLDT conducts research in the field of quantum computing

The sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT has been awarded a contract by the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative (DLR QCI) for the QUA-SAR research project. The research project aims to optimise complex radar remote sensing scenarios. In the research project, HENSOLDT is working together with the Microwaves and Radar Institute of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the high-tech start-up Tensor AI Solutions GmbH. The DLR Quantum Computing Initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.
