Data quality management
Integrated approach to data technology problem solvingThe challenge
In data management, the links between different disciplines have to be harmoniously coordinated, and processes have to be designed and constantly optimised. This means combining the requirements and constraints of various users, as well as the data maintenance effort, in tool-based solutions.
In addition, the consistency of different data sources and databases must be ensured in order to provide high-quality and reliable data so that processes work smoothly. Continuous adaptation to new technologies and developments is also essential for timely corporate development and has a significant impact on the requirements for data provision.
Our solution
Our approach to meeting the challenges posed by this ever-increasing demand for information is to develop standardised procedures and extensive automation to carry out data checks and evaluations, and map them into tool-based solutions.
In addition to optimising processes for efficient data handling, it is also necessary to design appropriate test mechanisms for the process environment that check the quality of the available data and identify any need for action.
Overall, the focus is on establishing a data governance structure on the customer side and integrating this with the German Armed Forces’ database management system in order to ensure data quality and monitor the entire system lifecycle. The product-related system requirements are harmonised with the cross-product framework conditions of the database environment in such a way that standardised evaluations, and therefore comparisons to different products, can be made available on a tool basis.
