HENSOLDT showcases advanced GMJ9500 man-portable RCIED jamming solution at IDEX 2025

Abu Dhabi, 17 February 2025 – Global sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT is showcasing its latest advancements in electronic warfare at IDEX 2025, with a spotlight on the HENSOLDT GMJ9500 man-portable RCIED jammer family.

Designed to provide mission-critical protection against radio-controlled improvised explosive devices (RCIEDs), the GMJ9500 series delivers a lightweight, modular and highly adaptable solution for military and security forces operating in high-threat environments.

The GMJ9500 family offers cutting-edge jamming technology for three primary applications: protecting infantry squads during patrols, enhancing safety in de-mining and counter-IED operations and safeguarding EOD and bomb squad technicians against RCIED threats.

​​HENSOLDT is developing the ODAEON optical detection system for the Bundeswehr​

Sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT has been awarded a contract by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to develop an innovative capability demonstrator for optical detection. The product, called ODAEON, is designed to revolutionise the capability for automated reconnaissance of enemy optical systems on the battlefield and will be developed in cooperation with BAAINBw.

AIMS / NATO Certification Support Service

IFF Mode 5 is a prerequisite for joint military missions of NATO and non-NATO nations. All IFF identification systems using the new Mode 5 standard must be certified by the US DoD AIMS Program Office or NATO nations to receive necessary encryption keys.
