Self-protection as critical factor

To protect platforms and their personnel from existing and future threats, self-protection has become a critical factor in all domains.

Ground forces require electronic protection systems to defend against threats such as Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that are invisible to the naked eye. HENSOLDT offers comprehensive solutions for Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), ensuring spectrum dominance in both radar and communications. These systems can be deployed individually or integrated through their spectrum battle management software.

Detecting threats and initiating countermeasures

Recent events have shown the continued need for reliable systems, as the battle between protection and penetration in armoured warfare continues, especially with the use of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), which can be decisive in conflicts.

In the face of these threats, ground forces require advanced platform-protection systems that detect radar and laser-guided missiles and initiate the appropriate countermeasures.

We provide integrated electronic warfare systems and self-protection systems to keep land and security forces safe.

Innovative solutions for a safer world

Self-protection for armoured vehicles

Ever since armoured vehicles first appeared on the battlefield, the struggle between protection and penetration has continued, particularly with Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs). HENSOLDT’s multi-functional self-protection system MUSS 2.0 is designed to counter such threats. MUSS 2.0 provides enhanced multi-layer protection for various vehicles while minimising collateral damage through passive 360° surveillance.

Force protection

GEW meets the threats of modern asymmetric warfare with a range of jammers designed to defeat Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIEDs). Powerful mobile and lightweight portable jammers protect convoys and troops alike. Advanced adaptive jamming waveforms prevent the detonation of RF-triggered explosive devices by suppressing multiple signals simultaneously across the RF spectrum, including signals controlling drones and UAVs.
