ERS - Gold Award - HENSOLDT UK

Defence employer recognition scheme

HENSOLDT UK is proud to hold the prestigious Gold Award. This recognition reflects our continued efforts to champion the needs of military personnel, veterans, and their families, providing practical support and aligning our business values with the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.

We have a history of providing opportunities for the Armed Forces community, who work in all areas of the business.

We make specific provision within our employment policies to ensure that all the necessary training and support is given to enable ex-armed forces personnel to transfer their skills to meet the company’s needs successfully.

HUK 13 Bridges 2024

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity

HENSOLDT UK is proud to support the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Families Association (SSAFA), an Armed Forces charity, in their corporate friends scheme, which provides an excellent opportunity for companies in the defence industry to show their support for our Forces and their families.

This partnership goes beyond financial support – it is about showing genuine commitment to the individuals who serve our country and ensuring they have the necessary resources and care when they need it most.

By aligning ourselves with SSAFA, we aim to provide practical and moral support to military personnel, veterans, and their families, helping them overcome their unique challenges.

HENSOLDT UK participate in a number of SSAFA events, such as the 13 Bridges Challenge, during the year to raise much needed funds for this worthy cause.

Apprenticeship & Dual study

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programmes

We organise regular industry days for local schools, focusing on students aged 14-16, providing insights into career opportunities within the defence and technology sectors.

By working closely with local educators, we aim to help bridge the gap between education and real-world industry needs, making students more aware of alternative career paths in the defence industry.

Additionally, we are investing in STEM and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) initiatives to inspire a diverse new generation of talent.

These efforts promote innovation, and support greater inclusion, ensuring a skilled and dynamic future workforce.
