You need to record, manage, analyse and transfer flight and mission data; these are key capabilities for the complete mission lifecycle (planning, ¬flight and debriefing).
Almost all commercial aircraft today have to be equipped with a flight-recording system. You need a single module that combines all the necessary functions – from data acquisition, flight recording and data transfer to data readout and analysis.
The onboard unit should be able to record voice, datalink and flight data. Preferably, the unit would use generic standards to facilitate data exchange among all relevant aircraft interfaces and the chosen flight-recorder solution.

When it comes to flight recorders, the SferiRec CVFDR by HENSOLDT provides the complete toolchain you need. It has a modular architecture for storing audio, datalink and flight data for a minimum of 25 hours on an integrated, crash-protected memory module.
The parameters used for recording can be modified by means of a configuration file. Weighing only 2.8 kg / 6.17 lbs, the SferiRec CVFDR is manufactured in compliance with ED-112A, EASA ETSO-2C123c, EASA ETSO-2C124c and EASA ETSO-2C177a.
