Flight recorder
Flight recorderEnsuring aviation safety
Flight data recorders are used to ensure safety in aviation by recording critical flight data during a flight. These devices record various parameters such as altitude, speed, heading and aircraft performance data. The HENSOLDT SferiRec recorder family helps to solve accident investigations and supports system monitoring (ongoing monitoring of aircraft systems and performance) to detect potential problems before they lead to accidents. Nowadays, almost all commercial aircraft must be equipped with a flight data recording system.
Complete onboard recording solutions
For light aircraft, you need a single module that combines all the necessary functions – from data acquisition, flight recording and data transmission to reading and analysing the data. The onboard unit should be able to record voice, data, video and data links. Preferably, the unit should use generic standards to facilitate a data exchange between all relevant aircraft interfaces and the chosen flight recorder solution.
The HENSOLDT SferiRec recorder family provides the complete toolchain you need.

Innovative solutions for a safer worldIntegration into your platform
EASA supplemental type certificates (STC) are available for the following types of aircraft:
- Beechcraft King Air series
- Airbus Helicopter H135
HENSOLDT cooperates with DOA partners to produce STCs or make minor changes. Further STCs are currently in development, for example for the Cessna 208 Caravan.
All-in-one flight recording solution
The high-performance FE 320 LCR KAPPA cockpit image data camera has been successfully integrated into the SferiRec LCR 100 to provide a powerful Airborne Image Recoring System (AIRS) solution for light aircraft, helicopters and UAVs.
