NightOwl M
Camera system with extremely long-range surveillance capabilityThe challenge
When you are tasked with the surveillance of a border segment or sensitive perimeter, you need to generate the earliest possible reconnaissance data on a 24/7/365 basis. Moreover, your mission must be carried out with passive technology.
This mission calls for camera systems fitted with a wide range of capabilities and the ability to be used in different operating conditions. This includes missions by day and night, in cold or hot climates, in different kinds of weather, in difficult-to-access locations, on forward operating bases or for existing infrastructure.
Our solution
The NightOwl M by HENSOLDT is a robust, 24/7/365 system, providing you with the tactical advantage of extreme-range (DRI) capabilities, even under harsh conditions. It has features optimised for low-visibility conditions and semi-automated use.
The NightOwl M combines a large field of view for wide-area observation and detection together with extreme zoom factors for identification of targets.
Built to the most demanding requirements for seamless surveillance of land and maritime borders, its IP-based system can run on a stand-alone unit or be integrated into large-scale surveillance networks. It is ready for integration into existing legacy operating systems (C2), and for automated scanning, tracking and detection.
