The challenge

Today’s ever-expanding range of increasingly effective, mobile, small-scale and hard-to-detect threats creates a corresponding need for capabilities that can detect, locate and respond to them.

A combined systems approach to surveillance is key to providing effective protection against this growing range of threats. A ground-based surveillance radar, as a primary or complementary asset, creates the foundation of any surveillance system where Critical and National Infrastructure (CNI) situational awareness, drone detection, mission adaptability and flexible deployment options are essential.

From battlefield surveillance to mobile force protection, from critical infrastructure and perimeter protection to counter-UAS capabilities, there is a growing need for a surveillance radar as a standalone asset or as part of a surveillance system that can track and classify targets on the ground and in the air.

Our solution

Spexer 600 is a robust, reliable, all-weather surveillance radar solution that provides accurate, real-time battlefield imagery to track and classify targets on the ground and in the air. The radar is a vital aid to mission success, while SWaP, intuitive Command and Control system (C2) and minimal operator intervention support the need for simplicity and ease of use.

Featuring an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) antenna built around the field-proven SharpEyeTM radar processing technology, the Spexer 600 plays a central role within the HENSOLDT Spexer family of ground-based radars in service around the world today.

Ruggedised for durability, the Spexer 600 provides a multi-mission, X-band solution designed to meet Mil-Stds as a military, paramilitary and critical infrastructure asset. With a simple user interface and a high Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of +30,000 hours, this radar increases operational effectiveness in battlefield and border surveillance, drone detection and ISTAR missions.

Stand-alone or integrated, the Spexer 600 will easily take on a dominant or complementary role at the heart of your surveillance system (Electro-Optics (EO) agnostic). Whether a fixed static or mobile mast-mounted solution, or a dismounted and man-portable configuration, the Spexer 600 is the ground-based radar solution that meets the diverse and complex threats often encountered today.
