Occupational safety

All products and product-related operational and maintenance tasks must comply with legal requirements and standards in the areas of product safety, occupational safety, ergonomics and environmental protection. In the military environment, the German Armed Forces have established additional specific requirements.

These safety aspects must be considered early on in the product realisation process and throughout the entire lifecycle in order to minimise project and user risks. The requirements have far-reaching implications for the development process, product design, supplier selection and the scope of documentation.

Our safety consultancy ensures that the relevant safety requirements are taken into account at the proposal and product realisation stages. For many decades we have been carrying out safety projects for many of the German Armed Forces’ weapons and special systems in the air, land and sea domains.

Occupational safety and ergonomics

The harness allows a crane to lift the aircraft during an emergency. The GAF FTC, along with the 49th and 849th Aircraft Maintenance Squadrons, participated in the exercise to ensure mission compatibility of both nations’ crash-recovery teams, which are on standby 24 hours a day in case of emergency.
