CaviMission
Plug-in-ready airborne computerThe challenge
Whether in a civilian or a military context, deployment scenarios and the need for multi-role capabilities for aircraft are constantly evolving.
This trend naturally fuels innovation pressure in aircraft avionics. Therefore, your mission computer needs to keep pace with the latest technologies and the functionalities they require – i.e. interoperability, sensor integration and pilot assistance.
Future generations of mission computers will feature more power and a smaller footprint; these are the standards, trends and capabilities to which mission computers must measure up, ideally providing a wide range of versatile interfaces.
Our solution
The HENSOLDT CaviMission computer can integrate all the elements of a modern suite of aircraft-mission sensors into a single device while mitigating risk and staying within budgetary constraints.
Its hardware, operating system software drivers and development environment are fully integrated. This provides a ready-to-use basis for your own software development and testing.
CaviMission provides standard avionics support services. Safety and non-safety-critical requirements are assigned to segregated areas inside the mission computer. This way, in-service software or third-party applications can be integrated in combination with safety-critical functions. This reflects a simple yet highly efficient approach to meet the challenges of ever-increasing software complexity and the factor of cost.
