The goal of any mission is to achieve the strategic objective(s) at hand while at the same time ensuring the security and safety of personnel and the integrity of systems and assets deployed.
During operations, your airborne military platforms can become exposed to hostile laser sources aimed at them. This calls for a laser-warning system that comprises passive systems with the ability to detect, track and alert. The laser-warning system should ideally offer multi-threat capability.
Once the crew has been alerted to the laser threat posed, they can initiate relevant countermeasures, complete their mission and return home safely.
Our solution
HENSOLDT ALTAS, short for Advanced Laser Threat Alerting System, has been designed with the scenario of airborne military platforms exposed to hostile laser sources in mind.
Manufactured for easy installation and integration on all airborne military platforms, ALTAS is available in two variants:
The ALTAS-2Q detects laser rangefinders and laser target designators, delivers all parameters required to initiate relevant countermeasures and can leverage standard interfaces for ease of integration into higher-level electronic-warfare suites.
The ALTAS-2QB detects laser rangefinders, laser target designators and laser beam-riders and delivers all of the parameters required to initiate relevant countermeasures.
