Taufkirchen, 12. January 2024 – Employees of the sensor specialist HENSOLDT collected a total of 1,180 euros for a good cause. The symbolic donation cheque was handed over by Robert Haarmann, Head of Quality Management, and Andrea Autenrieth, Team Assistant in the Quality department, to Elvira Wäckerle, Chairwoman of the Förderverein für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V.
Our quality department has traditionally collected money at the Christmas party for several years now. The social commitment of the company and its employees is particularly important to department head Robert Haarmann. "The serious illness of one's own child is one of the worst things that can happen to parents, which is why it is so important that the Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V. helps parents in a variety of ways. I would like to thank all my colleagues at the quality department for their generous support," he says.
The association has been helping children with cancer and their families for almost 40 years. This includes parent and sibling care, the creation of additional medical posts, support for research projects and the purchase of expensive medical equipment. Many parents and relatives of children with cancer find help and support through the support group's commitment. They can recharge their batteries and regain courage in the parents' homes and recreational facilities. They should also be given some relief during this difficult time. "As we do not receive any public funding, we rely on donations to maintain our services. Thank you very much for your generosity," says Elvira Wäckerle.
All proceeds will benefit the support group and therefore the children and families.
