Taufkirchen, 7 April 2022 – In the 2021 financial year, HENSOLDT AG achieved or exceeded its forecast for all relevant key figures and further expanded its position as one of the leading companies in the European market for defence electronics. (balance sheet press release dated 22 February 2022). An overview of the main pillars on which this success rests - operational performance, innovation, sustainable corporate governance - is provided in the annual report now available.
In addition to the business figures, the report documents the expansion of the HENSOLDT strategy in four vectors. Nicola Winter, Germany's second female fighter pilot, explains the radar technology in the Eurofighter and special optics from HENSOLDT are used to steer the "James Webb" space telescope through space. In addition, the sustainability report provides insights into the ESG Strategy 2026 and shows the whole variety of initiatives that are intended to ensure the achievement of ambitious goals within the company. These include the protection of wildlife and the ambition to be climate neutral by 2035. Paving the way for this are projects such as the Kiel site, which is powered 100 per cent by electricity from renewable energy sources and is thus almost completely CO2-neutral.
In line with our sustainability goals, the 2021 Annual Report is preferably available online (https://annualreport.hensoldt.net/en/). The report can also be sent in printed form on request (via info@hensoldt.net).
