Change in the management of HENSOLDT's Optronics division
On 1 February 2025, Christina Canitz, previously Chief Procurement Officer, has taken over as head of HENSOLDT's Optronics division from Tanya Altmann. Tanya Altmann has held this role since February 2023 and is handing over the baton to Christina Canitz by amicable and mutual consent.
Oliver Dörre, CEO of HENSOLDT, comments on the change: "During her term of office, Tanya Altmann has brought the Optronics division back on track in a difficult environment, realized substantial growth and initiated many important elements of the transformation towards more digital products. We would like to thank her very much for her outstanding commitment and leadership."
Oliver Dörre continued: "Christina Canitz is the right candidate for this task with her many years of experience in our industry and professional background in the areas of supply chains, purchasing and production. We are convinced that she will continue and further advance the successful development of the Optronics division. With this change, HENSOLDT is sending a clear signal for continuity and innovation in the management of the Optronics division."
HENSOLDT's Optronics division, with around 1,000 employees at its main site in Oberkochen, develops and produces high-precision electro-optical systems for military and civil applications, including thermal imaging cameras, periscopes for armoured vehicles and submarines, and precision optics for semiconductor manufacturing.
