HENSOLDT masters the full electromagnetic spectrum to provide innovative products that counter evolving threats faced by North American warfighters, security forces, and first responders in the air, at sea, and on land.

HENSOLDT North America is located right outside of Washington D.C. in Bethesda, Mayland. The North American subsidiary of the HENSOLDT Group was first established in 2017 to provide U.S. customers with enhanced customer service and support for HENSOLDT´s robust product portfolio, and to strengthen its technological footprint in the North American region.

HENSOLDT products are fielded in the region. The Freedom-class LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) operates HENSOLDT’s TRS-4D AESA (active electronically scanned array) radar, while the National Security Cutter and older versions of the Freedom-class LCS operate HENSOLDT’S TRS-3D radar. Additional examples include HENSOLDT avionics used by U.S. Army and National Guard on various helicopter platforms, and U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps M1 Abrams tanks equipped with HENSOLDT Eyesafe Laser Rangefinders.

It incorporates its own data processing and tracking functions delivering IFF/ATC Mode S plot and track data. It can be operated autonomously within its area of coverage.
