Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn, Germany, 19 March 2020 – For the benefit of the citizens and companies in the community, the volunteer fire brigade is on permanent standby 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. HENSOLDT is very grateful to be able to expect help from two regional fire brigades in an emergency and donates 5,000 euros each to the fire brigades in Taufkirchen and Ottobrunn for good cooperation.
On behalf of the voluntary fire brigade in Ottobrunn, Commander Eduard Klas and President Klaus Ortmeier, for Taufkirchen Commander Michael Huber and President Günter Neuhaus accepted the symbolic cheque from Mathias Güssefeld, Head of Security and Facility Management and Michael Huber, HR site manager in Taufkirchen.
Men and women voluntarily move out when the alarm goes off. Accident victims must be rescued from car wrecks, when there is a fire, when first responders are called to sick people.
The requirements for a modern fire brigade have become more extensive than ever: Large residential areas with further influx, chemical hazards in companies, extreme weather phenomena with danger of flooding and storm damage. Now also Corona! In disasters like these, the fire brigade is in demand everywhere, especially the first responders.
With this donation we would like to thank the fire brigade, who always ensure the protection of HENSOLDT employees at the site.
