Oberkochen/Heidenheim, 22 July 2022 – For the first time, HENSOLDT is supporting the Heidenheim Opera Festival 2022 and is thus acting as a "festival sponsor" alongside the main sponsors. As one of the best employers in the region, HENSOLDT is thus fulfilling its role as a cultural sponsor in the Ostalb region.
At the premiere of the Verdi opera "I due Foscari" on Thursday, Andreas Hülle, Managing Director of Oberkochen-based HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH and Head of Optronics & Land Solutions, was able to hand over the sponsorship cheque to the Artistic Director of the Opera Festival, Marcus Bosch: "At HENSOLDT, we are convinced of the importance of major cultural events in the region and beyond. We know that we can only attract highly qualified employees to the east of Baden-Württemberg if the cultural framework is also provided. That's why we are very pleased to be able to fulfil our responsibility as a company and support the Heidenheim Opera Festival with a sum of 20,000 euros."
Marcus Bosch adds: "I am delighted to welcome HENSOLDT, another international company, as a sponsor in the circle of OH! supporters. This shows once again that the Heidenheim Opera Festival is an important location factor as a cultural beacon between Stuttgart, Munich and Nuremberg. Heidenheim's mayor Simone Maiwald is also pleased about the cultural commitment of the Oberkochen-based company: "The Heidenheim Opera Festival represents an indispensable and important cultural asset of our city. That's why I'm always happy about any support from the region for our opera festivals."
In addition to the two operas "Tannhäuser" and "I due Foscari", various concerts and performances will take place until the end of July. "Already in the run-up, we raffled 100 opera and concert tickets among our employees. The fact that we had more participants than tickets after only a few minutes shows how popular the cultural offer on the part of the city of Heidenheim is," says Andreas Hülle.
