Düsseldorf, Germany, 15 February 2018 – At the metalworking trade fair METAV in Düsseldorf, the sensor house HENSOLDT will, for the first time, present its “HENSOLDT AM Suite” (AM = Additive Manufacturing, 3D printing), which is an extensive product package comprising services, software and hardware for all aspects relating to 3D printing.

“We at HENSOLDT have long years of experience with the most varied methods of 3D printing for producing complex components,” said Franziska Unseld, a project manager at HENSOLDT Ventures. “We combined this to create a package comprising a set of services which will make it easier to get started in 3D printing, above all for small and medium-sized companies.”

The HENSOLDT AM Suite includes a mobile, standardised 3D printing cell, i.e. a completely self-contained, easily transportable container, which can be moved directly to the place where the 3D-printed parts are needed. Moreover, the suite also comprises a software package, which can be directly integrated into the customer’s processes and infrastructure, as well as a bundle of services from toll manufacturing via advice and maintenance through to training.
