Oberkochen/Germany, 7 June 2023 – The sensor solution provider HENSOLDT supports the IHK digitalisation centre "DigiZ" of the IHK Ostwürttemberg with a total of 15,000 euros. The Oberkochen site and the IHK Ostwürttemberg have already been in constant exchange for several years. Since the pandemic, digitalisation in general has been gaining momentum. It is no longer possible without it. If you want to keep up with suppliers and customers, processes must be adapted, and ways of working changed. Networks play a major role in this. With 15,000 euros, HENSOLDT Optronics becomes a supporting member of the Digitalisation Centre (DigiZ) and networks with the region.

Especially since the planning phase for the new Optronics building in Oberkochen, cooperation has been increasingly intensified regarding digitalisation and infrastructure. Here, too, DigiZ would like to promote and expand digitalisation in the Ostwürttemberg region, build networks and present solutions. Thilo Rentschler, Chief Executive Officer of the Ostwürttemberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, is pleased about the cooperation and support from HENSOLDT Optronics: "It is important that the work of DigiZ continues to set positive accents in digitalisation in the future and can also be incorporated into the Zukunftsoffensive Ostwürttemberg".

"Good networks are a decisive factor for corporate success: that is why the DigiZ brings together companies, specialists and those responsible for topics in a network. The network partners of the DigiZ benefit at the locations and through our channels in the areas of sales and marketing, support and receive digital qualifications through current and relevant knowledge," says Peter Schmidt, head of the DigiZ.

The automation of production, measurement, and integration processes at HENSOLDT (MES, MARS), or MATRIX production are important topics for the DigiZ, where HENSOLDT can create a great contribution in the network, as well as in many other topics related to digitalisation and innovations, such as lectures by employees. "To drive the region forward, we need a strong partner like HENSOLDT," says Peter Schmidt.

Working more with partners and suppliers and becoming better known in the surrounding area is firmly anchored in HENSOLDT Optronics' mission statement. "We want to draw attention to ourselves as an innovative employer with interesting training opportunities, use the digitalisation centres in the region and make our contribution," emphasises Bernd Mayer.
