Ulm/Germany, 20 September 2023 – The sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT donates 6,000 euros to the "Bärenfamilie" children's intensive care program, which supports parents in caring for their seriously ill children. The sum had been raised from raffle ticket sales at the summer festival at the company's Ulm site and was topped up by the site management.
Now the donation was handed over by HENSOLDT to the "Bärenfamilie". Nadine Zeh, deputy director of the facility, warmly welcomed the HENSOLDTians to the "Bärenfamilie" facility in Ulm and gave them a tour of the children's common area and individually furnished rooms.
"The children at the facility require special care and so they also need special toys to promote development," said Nadine Zeh. "The toys as well as play-based therapies are often quite expensive, so we are very happy about the generous donation."
Since 2021, the Bear Family has been helping parents provide intensive care for their children. They create a family environment where children can be cared for 24 hours a day if needed. In addition to medical care, however, attention is paid to the children's continued development and a wide variety of recreational activities are encouraged. In addition to medical visits, the children also receive physical, speech and occupational therapy.
