HENSOLDT donates for children with cancer

Renewed support for „Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V.“

Robert Haarmann (Head of Quality; l.) and Andrea Autenrieth (Quality Secretary; r.) together with Elvira Wäckerle, Chairwoman of supported organization

Once again, this year, our colleagues in the quality department collected donations for charitable purposes. A donation of 1,020 Euros was handed over to the Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V.

The association has been helping children with cancer and their families for over 30 years. This includes parent and sibling support, the creation of additional doctor positions, regular appearances by clinic clowns, support for research projects and the purchase of medical equipment. "I am very pleased that a large sum of money was raised at our spring festival. I would like to thank all my colleagues in the quality department for this," says Robert Haarmann, Head of Quality, at the presentation of the donation.
Elvira Wäckerle, Chairwoman of the Förderverein für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V., accepted the cheque for 1,020 euros. "Since we do not receive any public funding, we depend on donations to be able to maintain our services. Due to the Corona restrictions and the war in Ukraine, we had less income from donations. Therefore, we are especially happy about the donation this year," says Elvira Wäckerle when handing over the donation cheque.

Through the commitment of the support group, many parents and relatives of children with cancer find help and support. They can recharge their batteries in the parents' homes and recovery facilities, regain their courage and are relieved during this difficult time.
All proceeds go to the support group and thus directly benefit the children and families.
