Taufkirchen/Germany, 03 April 2023 – The sensor solution provider HENSOLDT is donating 4,000 euros each to the volunteer fire brigades in Taufkirchen and Ottobrunn. The donations are to be used in particular for the promotion of young talents.

The demands on a modern fire brigade have become more extensive than ever: Large residential areas with further influx, chemical hazards in companies, extreme weather phenomena with danger of flooding and storm damage. Men and women volunteer to go out when the alarm goes off. For this, good training is essential.

"It is important that we can offer our junior staff sound training. Only in this way can we meet the increased demands. The donation from HENSOLDT helps us to do this", says Eduard Klas, commander of the volunteer fire brigade Ottobrunn. Andreas Donhauser, Chairman of the volunteer fire brigade Taufkirchen, agrees with his colleague and adds: "In order to remain operational, we need strong junior staff and good equipment."

"We are very grateful to be able to expect the help of two regional fire brigades in an emergency. With this donation, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the fire brigade for the protection and safety of the HENSOLDTians at the site," says Veronika Endres, HENSOLDT Head of Site Taufkirchen.
