Oberkochen/Heidenheim, Germany, 15 December 2022 – The sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT has donated 5,000 euros to the Heidenheim Christmas campaign "Schneeflocke". Thilo Fronz, HR Manager at the HENSOLDT site in Oberkochen, presented the symbolic donation check to Barbara Ilg, patron of the Heidenheim Christmas campaign "Schneeflocke", during the ceremonial handover of the wish list gifts.
Every year, the Action Alliance organizes Christmas presents for children from families with special social or financial needs. In addition, financial surpluses are to go to selected projects that look after socially disadvantaged children in the Heidenheim district. "As a major employer in the region, we also feel an obligation to social projects. The Heidenheim Christmas campaign 'Snowflake' thrives on the commitment of many volunteers, to whom we would like to express our special thanks. Our donation is intended to make as many projects as possible possible," says Thilo Fronz. This year, a total of 922 wish lists could be fulfilled and thus all children found a wish sponsor. The total value of all gifts and donations amounts to more than 60,000 euros.
"Without the donation from HENSOLDT, many projects during the year would not be possible in this way," says Barbara Ilg. "We have set up the "Snowflake Award" for this purpose, which is intended to help children and young people in the Heidenheim district who are in need of social or financial assistance. The aid money for this fund is fed by the net proceeds of donations from companies like HENSOLDT."
