Taufkirchen/Germany, 23 March 2022 – The sensor solution provider HENSOLDT has donated ten WLAN access points worth 5,000 euros to the "AtemReich" children's home. The facility gives a home to children who need to be ventilated around the clock. At the children's home, Christian Ladurner, HENSOLDT site manager Taufkirchen, presented the symbolic donation check to Felicitas Hanne, managing director of the “AtemReich” children's home.
The "AtemReich" children's home is home to 18 children who are ventilated and require interdisciplinary intensive care. Before being admitted to "AtemReich", they were permanently cared for in intensive care units of children's hospitals, even though their acute treatment had already been completed. The aim of the facility is therefore to offer these children a protected place away from intensive care units and the hectic daily hospital routine, where they can grow up and develop.
Since the children are dependent on their ventilators non-stop, they cannot move freely around the site. That's where the WLAN access points come in. "We are very happy about the donation from HENSOLDT. The WLAN Access Points enable us to give the children and young people more freedom in their everyday situations, as important data can now be read directly from the portable devices," says Felicitas Hanne.
As a high-tech pioneer, it is important to HENSOLDT to support the local Munich institutions with technological possibilities. "HENSOLDT likes to get involved in helping regional charitable institutions and especially sick and needy children and their families," says Christian Ladurner, Taufkirchen site manager.
