2021 Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Employment Awards

Canberra, Australia, 7 October 2021 – Technology solutions company, HENSOLDT Australia, has won the 2021 Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Employment Awards. A contender in the Medium business category for Veterans’ Employer of the Year, HENSOLDT Australia was amongst 125 nominees across eight categories.

“We have long been a proud supporter of veterans’ employment,” says Jon Wachman, CEO & Managing Director at HENSOLDT Australia. “We are thrilled and honoured to be an award winner this year.”

The Prime Minister's Veterans' Employment Awards recognise organisations that employ and support veterans transitioning to the civilian workforce, as well as recognise veterans who are making a significant contribution as an employee or entrepreneur.

“Around 70% of our team are veterans and we actively engage with veteran organisations in our recruitment and retention strategies,” says Mr Wachman. “Veterans bring an approach, understanding and experience that aligns with our culture, organisational needs and clients, providing a natural fit, especially for collaborative projects.”

HENSOLDT Australia proudly supports veterans working in Defence, Space, Clean Energy and Maritime. The company provides multiple career paths in project management, systems integration and engineering, technical support, engineering services and complex radar and mechanical systems maintenance repair and overhaul.

Finalists and winners of the 2021 Prime Minister's Veterans' Employment Awards were announced today by the Hon. Andrew Gee MP, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and Minister for Defence Personnel.
