Oberkochen (Germany) / Veldhoven (The Netherlands), 29 October 2024 – Sensor specialist HENSOLDT has been honoured for its achievements in sustainability at the ASML Supplier Day 2024 in Veldhoven. After receiving its first supplier award in 2022 in the logistics category, HENSOLDT has now been honoured again in the Sustainability category.

This year's award recognises HENSOLDT's continuous efforts to reduce its ecological footprint and to integrate sustainable practices into its day-to-day business. In particular, the significant reduction of CO2 emissions and the consistent commitment to climate protection were highlighted. A key milestone in this regard is the signing of the “CO2e NetZero Commitment”, through which HENSOLDT has committed to implementing measures to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire business.

“This award confirms our conviction that sustainability is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity for innovation and competitiveness”, says Tanya Altmann, Head of Optronics & Land Solutions Division at HENSOLDT. “We are proud of what we have achieved and see this recognition as an incentive to further advance our sustainability goals.”

Sustainability has become a central component of HENSOLDT's business strategy. The company is actively reducing its carbon footprint through a variety of measures, including reducing energy consumption, optimising production processes and increasing the use of renewable energies.

“As one of the global technology leaders in our industry, we know that long-term success is only possible through sustainable action and responsible business practices. We are pleased that ASML has recognised our efforts in this area and has once again presented us with a supplier award”, says Altmann.

HENSOLDT supplies ASML with high-precision Fine-Focus Metrology (FFM), which is crucial for the production of highly complex lithography systems. These systems are essential for the production of modern semiconductors, which are used in numerous industries worldwide. With the FFM, HENSOLDT is helping to further strengthen ASML's leading position in the semiconductor industry.

Sustainability

Safety forms the basis for a sustainable future - HENSOLDT is equally committed to both. The company takes its responsibility as a sustainable, local business very seriously and has set itself ambitious goals for emissions avoidance, resource-conserving business and responsible corporate governance.
