HENSOLDT acquires Engineering Start-Up PentaTec

Transaction strengthens system capabilities and value creation

Munich, 5 April 2018 – HENSOLDT, the leading independent sensor solutions house, acquires PentaTec Elektronische Systeme GmbH, a German provider of engineering services, test equipment and optronic sensors based in Munich. Following the approval of anti-trust authorities the transaction now has come into effect.

This transaction is an important milestone in the implementation of our strategy to develop complete system solutions, open up adjacent markets and strengthen value creation by widening our technological capabilities.”

PentaTec Elektronische Systeme GmbH, with 10 employees, generates revenues of approx. €2m. The company offers engineering services and provides test equipment for automotive and defence applications. In these areas it develops hardware, software and complete systems, tailored to individual customer requirements. PentaTec’s services range from system analysis, design and specification through to development of hard- and firmware to prototyping and manufacturing of small series.
