Taufkirchen/Germany, 19 February 2021 – The HENSOLDT communications department supports the Kinderstiftung Bodensee with an amount of 5,000 euros. HR Site Manager Nicole Poppe and Sarah Keller, representing Communications, handed over a symbolic cheque to the project manager of the Kinderstiftung Bodensee, Maren Dronia.
The current Corona pandemic poses great challenges for children and families and requires a lot of flexibility and creativity. This is especially true for children from poor and disadvantaged backgrounds. The financial means are often not sufficient to provide the children with the same support and opportunities as children from structurally stronger families. "This is where the Kinderstiftung Bodensee provides support. We help where support is urgently needed," says Maren Dronia, project manager of the Children's Foundation. "We are very happy about the 5,000 euros from HENSOLDT, because in times dominated by Corona, the foundation is more dependent than ever on donations from companies or private individuals”, Dronia continues.
The foundation supports projects such as providing free IT support for homeschooling or equipping students with free medical masks.
HENSOLDT is aware of its responsibility towards society. That is why we are involved locally in humanitarian initiatives to improve the living conditions of our fellow human beings. "We are in favour of equal educational and future opportunities and increasingly support young people. All children should be able to put a little smile on their faces, even in difficult times," says Sarah Keller, project manager in the communications department.
